Two new Community Insight Profiles have been published for:
• Littlemore ward and
• Areas within Central Oxford

The publication of the two profiles completes a programme of work following the 2019 Director of Public Health annual report that highlighted 10 wards across the county which have areas ranked within the 20% most deprived nationally according to the Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD 2019).  

The Community Insight profiles have been created to understand the factors that influence the health outcomes of people living within areas where the data shows us that residents are most at risk of poor health, or experience health inequalities.

The profiles have been co-produced with local partners to ensure the experiences of local residents health and wellbeing are captured. They incorporate a range of quantitative indicators of health and the wider determinants of health, as well as qualitative information collected through a process of community engagement.

After the publication of the reports, action planning to take forward the outcomes from the insight takes place. There is also grant funding available for each of the profile areas to support the implementation of activities that contribute to meeting the recommendations within the community insight report.

Community Insight Profiles are now being developed for four other areas in the county, which have been identified as having small areas that fall within the 30- 40% most deprived nationally according to the 2019 IMD. These include; Wood Farm (Oxford), Bicester west (Cherwell), Berinsfield (South and Vale) and areas in Witney Central (West Oxfordshire).
