New JSNA Bitesize on unemployment to July 2020
A new JSNA Bitesize is now available showing the change in unemployment data for Oxfordshire up to July 2020.
As of July 2020 there was a total of 17,395 claimants of unemployment benefits in Oxfordshire. This was 695 above the previous month (16,700 in June 2020).
Each district in Oxfordshire saw a slight increase in claimants between June and July.
There are also 119,200 people in Oxfordshire supported by the government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (furlough) or Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (to 30 June 2020).
Younger age groups and males have each seen a greater increase in the number of claimants.
